Enjoying the Sun
The purebred Spanish horse was created in ever-present sun of Southern Spain. Already a couple of thousand years ago, people travelled to the banks of the great river of the Southern Iberian peninsula that was famous for the quality of its horses (*), coming from as far away places as Rome itself.
Here is PRE Andalusian stallion Bolero, a three-year old son of Fer Bulería, enjoying a moment in the sun.
(*) The great river is known today as Guadalquivír. Rising in the mountains of Jaén province, it flows to the Mediterranean Sea, passing through what is today Seville.
